
It is often said that salespeople should talk less and listen more. Of course, a salesperson must understand the needs of a customer. But, he also has the best expertise to meet those customer needs adequately. So let the salesperson tell you the best solution, and don’t talk too much as a client (buyer). Encourage salespeople to share their expertise and listen carefully. Or, next time, take that unexpected and courageous phone call from a salesperson. Just make an introductory appointment. An intelligent buyer listens, is open-minded and lets a seller talk. Agree?
